Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s former Pacific Palisades pad is set to hit the market Friday with an asking price nearly double what its current owners paid in 2017.
The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home at 1417 Capri Drive spans 6,400 square feet. It’s expected to be listed for $13.5 million, or $2,113 per square foot.
Compass’ Josh Flagg has the listing.
Records show Hawn and Russell bought the property in 2004 for $4.1 million and held it for over a decade, before selling it in 2017 for $6.9 million. The seller is a trust tied to Champion Real Estate Company founders Robert and Marjorie Champion, according to property records.
The Santa Monica-based real estate firm began in 1987 and focuses on multifamily, retail, office, mixed-use and adaptive reuse projects. It has invested more than $2 billion into properties since the firm was founded, according to its website.
The Champions invested in the Capri Drive home and renovated it before placing the traditional-designed property on the market.
Several features of the home lend to entertaining, including a bedroom conversion to a temperature-controlled wine tasting room, a pool, fire pits, barbecue area, outdoor dining and putting green. Other highlights include four fireplaces, a den with its own skylight and primary suite touting a custom walk-in closet and a connected bonus room.
Flagg said in a statement to The Real Deal that the Palisades is seeing “renewed momentum.”
“With many lots being sold in the aftermath of the fires, there are few move-in ready homes available, and this street remains one of the rare areas untouched,” Flagg said.
Rodeo Realty’s Jimmy Heckenberg and The Agency’s Santiago Arana currently hold the Palisades’ highest-priced listing, located at 766 Paseo Miramar. The 18,000-square-foot, new-build went on the market in June for $54 million and was relisted in August for $39 million, or $2,123 per square foot.
This year’s priciest known residential sale in the Palisades was 1124 Napoli Drive, which closed off market in late August for $25.8 million, or $2,437 per square foot. The Beverly Hills Estates’ Lea Porter and Carolwood Estates’ Zac Mostame represented the seller and buyer.
